The title of course was meant to be misleading. I was hoping for a certain bright smile belonging to a certain friend of mine who may be reading this, followed by an immediate let down with the news of... not THAT Florida team.
No, Willis will not be heading back to the Marlins, a team best known for selling off every decent team they've ever assembled, one player at a time (or in 2008's giveaway to the Detroit Tigers, two). Instead he will be playing single A ball -- yes, I said SINGLE A ball with the Lakeland Flying Tigers, wherever and whatever the hell that is.
Dontrelle, don't let it get you down too bad. If you want, I looked up the quickest way for you to travel back to Dolphin Stadium for you, just in case you feel like reminiscing of the good ol'times you had playing in the big leagues:
