Reason to Love Baseball No. 600

... and a well deserved congratulations:

No hub-bub, no controversy, no cheating, no whining.   No,  instead we get "I got a pitch I could hit and it went out for me," stated Griffey, along with  "I'm glad it's over."  He is now only the 6th person to achieve the 600 mark, 2 of the most recent which are surrounded by sterroid clouds (Bonds and Sosa) and 3 of which who (as the Seattle Sun-Times put it... and perfectly at that) "would have a place on baseball's Mount Rushmore, if such a monument existed — Babe Ruth, Mays and Hank Aaron."

Griffey, Jr.:   proof that class acts do in fact still exist in baseball.
