Post-Traumatic Cubs Disorder

Stress; Anxiety; Fear; Tension; Anger; Vulgarity; Mania; Depression; Fatigue; Aggression; Exhaustion; Substance Abuse; Alcoholism; Ulcers...

... the list could really go on,  and on,  and on,  and on.

It seems that every game this year has brought on the symptoms.    How many more late inning games do the Cubs expect me to live through?!  (15 INNINGS !!  REALLY!??   That's what we needed to beat the PIRATES!? )   I start to get a nervous twitch around the seventh inning.    It slowly transformes into an inability to sit still,  then sit at all.    I begin to uncontrollably utter profanities around the time the closer enters,  whomever it may be this time,  then finally capped off with an explosive fit of rage when (not if) they blow the lead.    It's a serious illness,  and worse yet...     I think it's contageous!      No...  really...   it's only adorable ONCE to hear your 22 month old say 'f#$%ing Cubs!'

...  and that's only how I get in the 9th.

I don't even want to talk about last night.   I've got to hit the road in less than an hour and I simply won't have enough time to report on that marathon.   Just when I thought it was safe to go to bed after taking the lead in the 14th inning thanks to a much needed 'ha ha, remember when you traded me' home run from Aramis Ramirez,  it was tied up faster than I could close my eyes by a 2-0 Kevin Hart fastball thrown right at the soft spot on Adam LaRoche's bat.   Did I mention the announcers talked about how LaRoche was 0 for his last 25 at bats??

THANKFULLY, former Iowa Cub CF Felix Pie got his chance in the 15th to prove his worth to his team by knocking in two runs on a well hit single,  FINALLY sending his team to victory...    and me to bed.    I never thought I'd make it!    Anyway,   due to the recent string of long games and the current schedule of night games, I'm going to cut this short so I can go take a nap and rest up for tonight's game.
