Suffice to say that I had the speakers blasting these as well.

Southern Rock from Swampland.com and ThinkIndieOffered via our frequent haunt at ThinkIndie, Gritz: Stone Ground & Southern is a first-class compilation of contemporary Southern rock.  Even so, there's a lot of Southern musical heritage in this release; Tommy Talton played alongside the Allman Brothers, Tommy Crain was part of the Charlie Daniels Band for 15+ years, and Bonnie Bramlett makes an appearance.  Of course, there are up-and-coming acts to be heard as well; my First-Listen-Faves are The Hill from Tommy Crain and the Crosstown Allstars, Preacher Stone's Not Today and Southern Poet by Silver Travis.  (Bramlett's duet with Michael Buffalo Smith was almost enough to make me list four favorites.)
