Once dubbed the "Greek goddess of simplistic and dark alternative/indie rock music" by Bite Me! Magazine, Katrin the Thrill is back with a new full-length album entitled "Evil Eye Charm", which will be released on September 10. The release is a follow-up to 2010's "Earth Is Calling Us", which was generally well reviewed, and gained Katrin enough loyal fans to run a successful Indiegogo campaign that contributed to the new album.
Katrin has definitely paid her dues leading up to this new offering, performing extensively in festivals such as European Music Day and Indie Free Festival as well as opening for acts like Manic Street Preachers, Greg Dulli and Electrelane. She has drawn a lot of comparisons to PJ Harvey, with her dissonant guitar playing and throaty, moody vocal delivery, and there's nothing wrong with that; after all, there's always room for another strong, talented woman in music.
