Boston, Part IV

Human Sexual Response were one-of-a-kind. They sort of based their sound on early glam-punk pioneers like Sparks and the New York Dolls, and you can hear shades of Television's Tom Verlaine in Dini Lamot's voice. They are best known for their single (I Want to Be) Jackie Onassis. Sadly, I never went to any of their shows because I was not yet of legal age. Lamot is now known as drag performer Musty Chiffon.

Here are HSR performing one of my favorites, Land of the Glass Pinecones.
