All Summer Long

Michigan born Robert James Ritchie, now known professionally as Kid Rock, is an American music success story. Starting out as a break dancer, then DJ, then rapper...working basement parties for as little as 30 bucks a night, he has worked himself up the ladder of success to star level, allowing him to record and perform any genre of music that simply strikes his fancy. Be it hip hop, R&B or country...Kid Rock has emerged as an established versatile performer.

Is it just me or is this track a pretty shameless ripoff of "Werewolves of London"?

Seems to be a sample of both "Werewolves" and "Sweet Home Alabama," Winston. Kind of a disappointment when you consider Kid Rock's a fairly accomplished songwriter in his own right.

I always thought sampling was a cop-out.

Hey now, Winston, lay off the Kid. Much like the Beasties, the guy found himself a niche, and while more than a few people loathe his work, there's a few of us out there who think "Grit Sandwiches for Breakfast" and his unplugged concert with Bocephus was pretty damned entertaining.

Your elitism is showing, buddy. :-P

Being a life long musician myself, and appreciating all types of music from classical to bluegrass...I find I like stuff that makes me want to tap my foot.
