Sunday Oldies
As I promised last week, I'll be focusing on the really old oldies and looking blues and jazz singers from the 1920s and 30s. Most of today's clips are likely to be stills--based on the age of the songs, actual videos are few and far between. I am going to start off with Marion Harris, a singer who was popular in the 1920s, making one of her last performances in this film from 1930. This song is titled I'm Funny That Way:
Harris died in a house fire in 1944 at the age of 48.
