Post a Comment I am not a big fan of so-called modern punk--far too many of the singers are whiny, the musicians perform with too much polish, the tunes are self-absorbed, or the music sounds like metal. This group, The Muffs, doesn't suffer from any of those faults, even though they do seem a little too bright and cheery to be called hard-core. That said, I really like their energy and their sound. To close the evening on an uplifting note, we'll have a listen to the band giving a rousing rendition of the old Kim Wilde song, Kids in America:
New Wave,
Punk,
Sunday Punk Hour,
post-punk
