Aliens Amongst Us - Part I

For those of you who missed the annual Leonid meteor shower last Monday night and early Tuesday morning, today presents us with the opportunity to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the SETI Institute, which conducts scientific experiments which try to determine whether extraterrestrial life forms are trying to contact us.

So, I present a number of videos for songs about aliens and the contact experience. First up are The Carpenters, with Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft (skip to 0:48 to avoid the annoying DJ intro). Yeah, it's cheesy, but in a very good way. Later in the day, I'll post goodies from Radiohead, The Pixies, the Rezillos, Babylon Zoo, and an astounding audiovideo mash-up of the B52s with Basement Jaxx.
