The Shining on Crank

When you see the movie The Shining mimicked by a (sic) metal band (and pride of Des Moines, IA) by the name of Slipknot, you'll see why this band exploded onto the scene.   Their first video goes by the name of Spit it Out.  Still perhaps one of their best songs.

I miss the old Slipknot.  Nowadays they try to be too melodic, as if they're trying to sound like other bands, when other bands should be trying to sound more like the old Slipknot.   It in itself is a bad dream.  Let's pinch ourselves together and say... 

"it was all just a bad dream...  it was all just a bad dream... it was all just..."
