Post a Comment Ah, this one brings back some early MTV memories. Here's Bringin' on the Heartbreak by Def Leppard.
Def Leppard Morrissey is without a doubt the greatist lyricist alive today. Here's The Smiths with Sheila Take a Bow.
The Smiths Another live performance, this time by The Chameleons UK. This is Don't Fall, off the 1983 album, Script of the Bridge.
The Chameleons UK Here's a live performance of Genesis' 1980 single Turn It on Again.
Genesis 'The Eagles' with a tune from the musical story of the outlaw 'Doolin-Dalton' gang of the 19th century. This was the first song on the 'Desperado' album.
'Al Martino' is probably known best from his role as 'Johnny Fontane' in The Godfather movies. The character is based on 'Frank Sinatra.' The part of Fontane was first offered to 'Vic Damone' who turned it down.
After seeing the picture a night or two ago, for the umpteenth time, I found 'Martino' singing the movie's theme.
Al Martino,
Speak Softly Love Like the Weather is a single off the 10,000 Maniacs 1987 album, In My Tribe.
10000 maniacs Released in 1979, here's ABBA with Voulez-Vous.
ABBA Gigantic was the Pixies very first single (off Surfer Rosa), and one of the few songs where bassist Kim Deal sang lead vocals.
pixies Ladytron are a British synthpop group, and Runaway is a track off their fourth studio album, Velocifero.
Ladytron Perhaps the most successfull all-female band of all time, here's The Go-Go's with Our Lips Are Sealed.
