Television in 2009: Monday Edition

So... another year.

Another year to start making something of yourself. Another day to help the needy, or create something beautiful, or to volunteer at for sick children... or simply say screw it and sit your lazy rear on the couch on watch television.

Don't worry, I won't judge... at least not you. But the shows sucking up valuable energy and depriving the world of my much needed sympathy, they may not be so lucky. Here's a quick look at what we can expect from television this season in a week long category dedicated solely to prime time.

Here's what's worth watching on Monday:

8:15 pm et: FOX - The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl (Your wife will be so happy!)

8 pm et: ABC - The Bachelor (more drama than you'll know what to do with)

8 pm et: NBC - Superstars of Dance (will require some channel flipping)

9:30 pm et: CBS - How I Met Your Mother (When all else fails)

10 pm et: ABC - True Beauty (Produced by Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks)

I recommend you all check out True Beauty, the Bachelor for you softies and Superstars of Dance if you're not gay now... buy always wanted to be.   Expect to see shallowness on a whole new level on True Beauty, cheesy drama in the form of "love" on The Bachelor and great dances getting shunned in favor of...  riverdancing?  Huh?!

Next week on Fox:   24 returns with part 2 of it's 4-hour special
