That's my clan tag in Call of Duty. A simple cassette-tape design. It used to be [BEER], until I realized how unoriginal that was. So now it's back to tapes.
Some of you may have seen this tag this weekend.
I can't even pretend I'm beginning to count how many hours I played the new map pack for Call of Duty: World at War this weekend. Don't get me wrong, I did manage to go hiking, mow the lawn, purchase and plant some bushes and shrubs this weekend. However, the best thing I got accomplished was prestiging on Call of Duty... yet again.
THANK YOU DOUBLE XP WEEKEND!
In celebration of the new release of Map Pack 2 for the Call of Duty: World at War game, they thought it would be a great idea to make everybody's stats worth double. With that in mind, it's extra hard trying to peel yourself away from a good batch of Headquarters... where winning pretty much guarantees you 500 points plus your kills, assists, bonus and challenges. It wasn't uncommon for me to end a game with a score of 1500 points or more. It got to the point where I didn't even say "hell yeah" unless I'd seen it top 2000. At that point, the levels just seem to blow pass like a leaf in the eye of a tornado.
But beware Call of Duty junkies... this is the last day for double XP weekend. It will officially end Tuesday at 9 am Iowa time (you do the math and figure you're own clock standard, It's a nice change for once)and then it's back to the norm. LAST NIGHT. Get off work early, grab some beers on the way home, make sure you controllers charged and watch out for that gamer tag. I'll be sure to be around.
