It's Ryan
Mitt Romney has picked Paul Ryan as his running mate. What say you all? Good choice?
I'll venture an opinion that it's a good choice. Ryan can shred the Obama cabal on economic policy. He's brilliant, well-spoken, and firmly grounded in knowledge.

Wow, you called this on Friday? Or are you in possession of some sort of time machine? Impressive in either case.
I think Ryan is a serious choice.
Already this morning some dolt on ABC says that the selection of Ryan makes the election about "choice" instead of about Obambi's record. Great googly moogly.
I think the dolt on ABC is correct. The choice of Paul Ryan as a running mate implies a whole hearted endorsement of the Ryan plan by Mitt Romney. Now Romney is going to have to defend the Ayn Rand worshiping Ryan plan to the letter.
It should be interesting.
Ha. I wish I had that sort of intuition. Actually, this date happened because I was fiddling around with a way to put this post under the open thread. But hey, if I get credit for being a prophet, I'll deny all that.
KwAwk, you mean Mitt has decided to adopt a sane fiscal policy? Good deal.
Team Obama thugs are already out with anti-Ryan internet ads. That didn't take long. Maybe it's Ryan who causes cancer. Ask Stephie Cutter or Davey Axelrod.
Oh, that's nothing...
the New Yorker complained about Ryan's lack of private sector experience.
(try to take deep breathes between laughs)
What exactly is so "Ayn Rand worshiping" about Ryan's plan?
Scorecard:
Whose budget plan was passed by at least one branch of Government?
A). Barack Obama
B). Harry Reid
C). Paul Ryan
If you answered A or B, you fail not only civics but room temperature IQ. Dems are going to hate explaining why there for Social Security and Medicare going broke.
If Biden had his hands full debating Sarah Palin...
you can bet Paul Ryan is going to tear him to shreds.
Cannot wait for these debates to get rolling.
More unintended humor from the left-wing media, with the ever-reliable Obama operative Andrea Mitchell weighing in that Ryan means bad things for women.
Ok, Andrea. Your check from Barry will arrive soon. Relax, willya?
At least Andrea didn't try showing another falsely edited video clip hit piece, like she was caught doing a few weeks ago.
Of course its an endorsement of the "Ryan budget". Which is why the choice is so suprising. I can't believe Republicans are actually going to run on killing Medicare. Holy cow! This is going to have massive ramifications all the way down ballot too. Wingnuts might be happy Romney picked an idealogue like Ryan but Libs are ecstatic.
Please stop it, Choy/Brent. If you can read, you very well know that statement is a bold, blatant, deliberate lie.
"Wingnuts might be happy Romney picked an idealogue like Ryan but Libs are ecstatic."
Just replace Ryan in that sentence with Rice, Rubio, Rich et al and you get the same old tripe that would have been rolled out for any VP Romney would have picked. The left's biggest problem is they quite simply have no imagination. But then simple critiques and slogans do seem to work well with a small number of brain dead Americans.
I don't think thats true. None of the people you mentioned authored a radical budget that does away with Medicare as we know it. Newt Gingrich actually called the Ryan Budget "Right Wing Social Engineering". Pretty dramatic, eh?
Hooboy. When the lefties start using Newt Gingrich to argue their case, it's clear they're lost in the horse latitudes.
Little Debbie Wassername I-Know-Nothing Schultz, in her "Let's Scare Old People about Medicare" tour, is out there proclaiming that Ryan is afraid to visit Florida, and the Romney people are keeping him far away. But, as usual, Little Debbie is either an ignorant clod, or a lying clod, take your pick of the only two possibilities. Ryan is scheduled to be campaigning in Florida next week. Sorry, Debs. Hoist by your own petard again. As usual.
The DNC must be ever-so-proud of Little Debbie as their public mouthpiece.
I love DWS... she's the best spokesperson the Republicans could have ever asked for.
I'm getting immense satisfaction by listening to leftist pundits tell us how Romney picked the wrong guy for V.P. That's like Tony Soprano criticizing the choice of a new district attorney.
I sense great fear. They wanted another Sarah Palin, someone they could beat up and slander more easily.
You are right that Ryan is not a complete buffoon like Palin. But his kooky views will be almost as easy to lampoon. As for fear lol, thats exactly what you guys said a few days after the pitbull in lipstick was intorduced as McCain's veep in 2008. How'd all that liberal fear turn out for ya last time?
