Trick or Treat Open Thread

:: knock knock ::

What's the difference between the Green Party and the Democrat Party?

???

???

The Green Party doesn't think they still have a chance at winning the election next week.

-----

A little mid-week open thread because I'm lazy.

I do think my 11 year old is going to say that joke to a couple of my Democrat neighbors.

Think they'll stiff her on any of these candies?

There is no "Democrat Party." Nor are there "Democrat neighbors." It's just a term only a dumbass would use, who either doesn't know how grammar functions, or, more likely, is trying to be offensive. At any rate....

Here's how it looks to me: only four states remain still genuinely in play. The President needs only to win one of them to capture 270 EVs, while Lying Assweasel will have to run the table and carry all four. Anything can happen, especially with people who will stop at nothing, but I'd still rather be in the President's position than the challenger's.

It's looking like my former Democratic Congressgal may unseat the Republican who unseated her and return to the House. In fact, both NH seats may turn Blue; the sister of a close friend of my ex has a good shot at unseating the Republican Congressman in our other NH Congressional district. Next door, it's looking like Elizabeth Warren may win a Senate seat. It's conceivable Joe Walsh will lose his seat. It’s possible that voters in the Florida 18th will send Allen West home. Can’t wait for Tuesday night.

Any Nooshnutz™ who want those one-way Somalia tickets need to act soon. Offer ends when polls open Tuesday morning. Come to a Libertarian’s Paradise!

Meanwhile happy trick-or-treating to you Raggers.

"I don't belong to any organized political party. I'm a Democrat." --Will Rogers

I doubt he had any idea how painfully correct he was. And it ain't funny any longer.

"Marion, Ohio - Joan Stevens was one of several early voters at the polls on Monday. But when Stevens tried to cast her ballot for president, she noticed a problem.

Upon selecting “Mitt Romney” on the electronic touch screen, Barack Obama’s name lit up.

It took Stevens three tries before her selection was accurately recorded."

This happened in NC as well, as I told y'all some weeks back, but I'm sure it's just a coincidence that these machines in both states just happened to default to obama when selecting Romney. No seriously.....

Some months after leaving Kenya, Dinesh D'Souza(Creator and producer of "Obama 2016")received a call from George Obama (barry's brother) asking him if he could help him out with a medical expense involving his son being ill. Dr. D'Souza sent him $1000 to pay for his medical bill.

Yup, it's definitely the latter... I know how much it seems to irritate you.

It's all rather strange that the Democrat Party faithful are so persnickety about their little "ic" suffix, given the fact that we live in a republic, not a democracy. But don't tell our boy Winnie; he'll just get all sweaty and fragile again.

Personally, I wouldn't mind being a member of the Republic Party, assuming it was a new party that understood the word.

Not that I'm taking Winston's side here (although I am), but he does have a point. Criticism of the Democratic Party is much more effective if one takes the time to name them properly, in my view.

Ol', gaffe a minute, Joe Biden says, 'he's gonna give us the whole load.' I assume he's referring to bullshit....I hope.

Ladies & Gentlemen;

Wow the anguish, denial and insults from the libs. They've lost. Winston's laughably inane scenario doesn't reflect the facts. Obama's enthusiasm gap is way down from 2008. He's getting killed with independents. He's behind with women. He’s essentially told the white vote your "crackers" and written them off. He does well with welfare mothers and people who need free phones. I loved the CBS/ Quinnipiac poll that had dems for Obama higher now than 2008. LOL; yeah right. That's what they have to do to generate a Obama 1 point edge. Let's sit back on November 6th, pop in on the left leaning blogs and imagine the sweet destruction of the biggest “Has-been, Low-rent, Ambulance chaser Prezzie” in history. It won’t be pretty. They'll sick the lawyers on the process but it's going to be hard to turn back a landslide.

Idiot Joe Biden; "her comes the full load."

"4 Times Joe Biden Couldn't Remember What State He Was In"

He did it again today. Fact; Obama assembled the dumbest administration in history. That isn't even debatable. Between now and January 20th please God don't let Joe Biden anywhere near the nuclear codes.

It really is astounding that a man one heartbeat away from the presidency can be so obtuse, so unthinking. How on earth can he say the actual words "Cleveland Plain Dealer" and then go on to say that it's a Florida newspaper?

It remains a mystery whether Joe-Joe's problem is gross carelessness and laziness of thought, or if the man is actually impaired in some way. Under either scenario, he is not suitable for the position he holds. We might as well hire Gilbert Gottfried as V.P.

Clearly he was distracted by more important things.

At this point I should just admit I come here in considerable part for the comic spectacle of the daily collision between Tom Miller’s Reality (a dimension where the President molests his daughters, Cuba executes hundreds of political prisoners annually, an Occupy Wall Street gunman killed a dozen moviegoers in a Colorado theater to punish the rich, union thugs ruthlessly beat a Tea Partier in St. Louis, no members of Obama’s cabinet have any business experience, black men are disproportionately criminals, I heartlessly ridiculed Ann Romney’s chronic disease and Snowbilly Snooki’s disabled child, a reality in which Mitt Romney will take the oath of office next January) and That Other Reality.

Interesting. The Republican primary opponent of Lunatic War Criminal Allen West, Martin County Sheriff Bob Crowder, endorses West’s Democratic opponent.

“As a Republican for over 30 years, I'm embarrassed by the radical fringe that has taken over the party. Sadly, Allen West is their poster child, and the hateful, divisive comments he's made throughout this campaign make it clear to me he’s the wrong choice for our district.”

Love it. F*** him, right, ‘Nutz™? Who needs these pansy-ass RINOs anyway?
Crowder said he is backing Murphy because

"he has the right temperament and respect for others -- including people he doesn't agree with."

November 1, 2012 at 12:44 | Registered CommenterWinston

You forgot to mention Crowder was at one time Allen's GOP opponent (salty much?) and suffered a shellacking in their primaries. His wife also endorsed Murphy weeks ago, and Crowder didn't get Republican endorsements because he has history of backing so many Democrat candidates.

his is hardly even news... you're just desperate to spew it because somehow you think it matters on a national level. Your party has all but neutered the Blue Dog Democrats. Leave it to liberals to pick the biggest loser in a room and trumpet it him as some kind of political champion.

Democrats pushed a flawed poll of their candidate being up 9 pts a month ago. Since then it's pivoted more than 20 pts in the other direction for West and even PPP has West up 9 pts now (hint hint: they're usually quite slanted left). I don't think Crowder's crying and sourpuss faces will help Murphy much (if it even helps at all). It just gins up the lunatic lefties.

In other words this story is just... wai...

hold on... something's happening...

i think... yup... i think it's....

RAAAACIST! You're a RAAAAAACIST! Winnie my boy, you can't be opposed to a black man unless you're a filthy bigot. Shame on you! Shame, shame, shame.

The real story is that Crowder is a crybaby, still upset over the sound trouncing he got in the primary, where he lost to West (he's the black man, remember) by a whopping 3 to 1 ratio. Crowder is also a notorious Mayor Bloomberg type RINO, having endorsed the Democrat for Florida governor last time around. Endorsement impact, near zero.

I'll take Col. West (he's the black man in the race, if you weren't aware) and you can have the pudgy little RINO loser that you seem to adore so.

As the campaign winds down and we get our last merciful look at this collection of Slip n' Fall lawyers in the Obama administration; its dawning people that it's a miracle how this Has-Been and Bumbling-Boob Veep didn't F'up this country worse. Obama campaigning gives Americans a chance to see how small Obama really is. His narcissism, lying on Benghazi, 180 degree incompetence. Pathetic.

I see Romney campaigning with family and friends. Obama? He has none. He gets his paid eunuchs to gag up the same talking points at stop after stop. Odd that not one Obama friend from the old days comes forward to help him campaign. Strange.

November 1, 2012 at 15:39 | Unregistered CommenterThomas Miller

One of the take-aways from the 2008 election was the last pretense that the MSM was unbiased. The daily tongue bath they gave Obama was sickening but clarifying for some who may have thought there was a shred of unbiased reporting still being done by the MSM. In 2012 were getting the polls that are so far out of line to benefit Obama that when their creators are called to explain the make-up of the poll they don't even try i.e. "I pulled that number out of my ass." Case in point, these Battleground Polls that have Obama either tied or up a point or two. When they get into the guts of the poll they’re finding dem identification higher now than in 2008. Meaning dems may be at 38% and Republicans at 30% which would be greater than when it was in 2008. No one, and I mean no one thinks Obama is more popular today than he was in 2008. That said, by the over-bias in dems you get the Barry Soetoro Presidency in a favorable light. In the real-world we know the Obama brand is shit and polls that reflect that with no worse than an even split with dems and Republicans show Obama down 3%-6%. So add biased polls to make libs feel good another story of the 2012 election.

“We’re talking about getting water out of the tunnel. Let’s get the water out of the tunnel tomorrow, let’s get the people out of the water today. There’ve been thousands of people who have been displaced. There are people who are cold, who are hungry, who are without a place to go, and looking for warmth. There are people still trapped. Yet we’re talking about marathons and tunnels. I walked on the rooftop of a house yesterday, I stepped on it because the debris that surrounded it was level with the rooftop. That’s what happened here on Staten Island.”

“I think this is an example of what infuriates people here on Staten Island,” he said. “Like Senator Lanza just said, we have people, people still in water. Families displaced, families wondering where their grandparents are. Are they at a shelter? Are they at a hospital? Or are they gone? That’s what we should be focusing on. I think it would be very misguided to have this marathon. I think that the people of Staten Island will see this, unfortunately…as another shot against them, that the City Hall is more worried about getting everything running again for Manhattan and making everything look like it’s back to normal. We’re not back to normal and we’re not going to be back to normal for a long time.”

Damned that George Bush! How could he let this happen again. And he's not even on the ground lending a helping hand to these people. Sitting in his warm, dry office while WHITE people suffer. Damned the man......

November 2, 2012 at 09:11 | Unregistered CommenterRedBeard

The mayor whose priorities include banning salt, trans-fat and 16oz sodas can add to his twisted list the running of a marathon over the well-being of Staten Island residents. It seems generators; police and other needed resources are being diverted for the well-bring of the marathoner over those people without homes and loved ones. But running a marathon sends a positive message on the danger of salt. Yes Barack Obama you should be proud of that Mayor Bloomberg endorsement.

they love mother earth while trashing it at their demonstrations and conventions,

they hate capitalism and big business when texting on their iphones,

they want to protect children while killing them in the womb,

they want gov't to take care of the poor while personally giving little to charity

and they believe the dignity of women lies in their right to screw without consequences more so than a strong economy that helps them feed their children.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Like most of the Nooshanz’s™ self-congratulatory blather, any notion they harbor the slightest interest in fostering critical thinking is ludicrous. Actually,
they oppose it. And the reasons are obvious. They want to encourage authoritarianism, not freethinking or the scientific method.

Tijuana’s blather is a perfect expression of nooshnutzism’s constituent parts of resentment, racism, misogyny, class privilege, jingoism and projection.

They love peace while hating everyone who disagrees with them.

Not true. I pray for the warmongers.
they love mother earth while trashing it at their demonstrations and conventions.
Nooshanz love focusing on litter from large demonstrations because they run on resentment rather than rational thought. It lets them avoid the issue.
they hate capitalism and big business when texting on their iphones.
It’s not hating on capitalism and big business to insist they can’t function properly without reasonable rules of the road. This argument basically says, no one can critique anything about the economic system unless they don’t have a toilet and subsist on tree bark and berries. That's idiotic.
they want to protect children while killing them in the womb.
Cell conglomerations aren’t children. And wingnutz don’t show the slightest concern for children post-womb-emergence. You know, the jumbo-sized children bigger than five cells.
they want gov't to take care of the poor while personally giving little to charity

Oft-repeated self-congratulatory blather that doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Much of what the well-off call charity goes to opera houses, art museums and other cultural institutions they use disproportionately themselves. Meanwhile setting out pickle jars on convenience store counters for quarters to help the families of children incurring hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical costs is obscene and unworthy of America. Relying on charity for people to retain their dignity? That's a return to feudalism.
They believe the dignity of women lies in their right to screw without consequences more so than a strong economy that helps them feed their children.
Tijuana gives the game away. He wants to punish sexually active women.

thanks for the constant barrage
Hey, you’re welcome.

You know, the people we used to call conservatives shriek how much they love America while demonstrating daily they badly misunderstand its history, bitterly oppose its values, and work actively to undermine its strength and influence.

The people we used to call conservatives demand that we tolerate their intolerance of others.

The Republican President who freed the slaves and fought a war to preserve the Union and the Republican President who created the national park system and broke up the trusts and monopolies would be infuriated and appalled at the people we used to call conservatives calling themselves Republicans. Likewise the Republican President and former war commander who warned of the dangers posed by industries allied with militarism—incidentally, he earned nearly forty per cent of the African-American vote—would be mortified and humiliated to find his party turning to jingoism, empire-building, empty militaristic bluster and saber-rattling and the naked cynicism of racist vote suppression.

The people we used to call conservatives claim to defend capitalism—history’s most powerful engine of using capital, labor, and resources to achieve better living standards, create wealth, and reward merit, ingenuity and hard work, when what they actually champion is cronyism, corruption, nepotism, hereditary aristocracy, abuse of the commonwealth, feudalism, financial chicanery, and plutocracy.

The people we used to call conservatives actually conserve nothing. They simply promote humanity’s most backward, destructive, and divisive impulses—cruelty, selfishness, greed, ignorance, sanctimony and bigotry—as though they were virtues.

November 2, 2012 at 12:35 | Registered CommenterWinston

The Sandy response is a perfect big gov + Red Cross example. I see the Staten Island Borough President is so pissed off at the Red Cross not showing up that she’s telling the Staten Island residents to quit donating. As for big gov.; well they know what's important like generators for the media covering the marathon. I mean why else have gig government? The states could never do this. As for those hungry New Yorkers, they should go to the media tent at the marathon. The amount of half-ate croissant sandwiches with barely sipped Perrier will be huge.

"Sandy Survivors Starving for Food Go Through Dumpsters"

Tom, somehow I think the publishers of that story are confusing food that can't be sold with food that has gone bad.

If a flood hits the market and 30 bottles of speghetti sauce have their label damaged, those item can't be sold, but that doesn't mean the food is bad. Same with any canned good or sealed container.

Doesn't even have to be food. If a package with paper towels gets wet it can't be sold, but that doesn't mean that most of the paper towels are bad or that the ones with damaged ends can't be used.

Shouldn't you good conservatives be cheering this? You know, if anything it means that these same people didn't break down the doors of the supermarket and loot the stuff.
