For post-debate spin, left wing lunacy and possible Chris Matthews breakdown go here.

October 11, 2012 at 13:41 | Registered Commenterskinnydipinacid

You see the left won't be happy with anything less than Raddatz pulling a gun on Ryan and pistol whipping him over his answers. It's the 'fair" thing to do according to Kwawk.

This is where this post should have been.

Tonight’s debate according to the Presidential Debate Commission will cover both domestic and foreign topics. Talk about Obama handing Biden a sh*t sandwich.

October 11, 2012 at 15:16 | Unregistered CommenterThomas Miller

The desperate lefties are now attacking Paul Ryan because of some pictures of him working out in a gym. Apparently, the idea of Ryan taking care of himself and being trim and fit is somehow scandalous. I guess the lefties prefer the White Whale Look of Teddy Kennedy or Barney Frank.

If this weren't so pitiful on the part of lefties, I could laugh harder. But I cringe, and feel sorry for them, as they continue to grope for handholds. Just absolutely pathetic.

October 11, 2012 at 19:11 | Unregistered CommenterRedBeard

Go easy on them Red... liberals are just realizing how desperate they are for a miracle.

October 11, 2012 at 20:26 | Registered Commenterskinnydipinacid

CNN has a very interesting stream that has a independents rating the candidates as they speak... Biden's continuously tanks. Ryan will talk and the ratings are high, soon as Joe opens his mouth it drops significantly. It also dips whenever Biden throws a creepy smile and menacing grin. Biden needs to play to more than just his base.

October 11, 2012 at 21:39 | Registered Commenterskinnydipinacid

And this moderator is horrible. It's definitely 2 on 1 tonight. NBC should have just put in Chris Matthews, or Rachel Maddow, or Larry O'Donnell. That way they wouldn't have to lie tomorrow and say she was fair. She still has time to act like a journalist... we'll see what she does with it.

Ryan's held his own, but I wouldn't say he's WON the debate as much as Biden is LOSING the debate. He keeps falling back to talking points mixed with heckling and nonsensical rebuttals. I can't imagine Biden's won over a single undecided voter tonight. All Ryan needed to do tonight is not fizzle out the momentum Romney's built up over the last couple weeks and so far he seems to be doing that and then some.

As for the CNN stream... the ladies really seem to like this Paul Ryan guy.

October 11, 2012 at 22:00 | Registered Commenterskinnydipinacid

OMG. I was out working this evening and just got home to watch the debate online. Joe pwned this pipsqueak. It wasn’t even close.

October 12, 2012 at 00:59 | Unregistered CommenterWinston

You and MSNBC seem to be the only people that think that, but thanks for filling us in on what was certain to be your obvious opinion Winston. If I wasn't actually laughing at you I'd insert my own fake Biden-smile, nervous laugh and manufactured facial expression here.

Biden came off as a stark raving lunatic who sometimes tends to ramble unintelligibly in a softer voice, but only when trying to tackle a serious, sensitive issue... one that's determined the best technique when answering isn't to act like a total dick, interrupting at every pass and spouting the usual talking points.

What amazed even more about Biden is that he attempted yet another 180 on the Benghazi scandal. That'll blow up in his face if/when he's pressed for a response by the media. Is Biden even aware of what's been unfolding with this Benghazi mess? I thought he was the foreign policy guy. Has anybody in that administration brought him up to speed yet?
Was that person Stephanie Cutter or something?

The only people he completely won back over was far-leftists like yourself Winston. I'd hardly call that a win. Biden did not look good.... maybe to an unhinged, angry little liberal like yourself he appeared to be a champion, but I repeat myself in saying he turned off independents tonight. He certainly didn't come off as presidential.

But don't get too discouraged. Maybe MSNBC will pull another skewed media poll out their ass and talk about some wildly awesome, epic turnaround this debate created. Should only take a 20+ Dem advantage or so. So what if it's only fooling the "Joe pwned" idiots. We just need to keep you leftists happy and content right up into November. I've long said you lefties could easily convince yourselves you've got this race in the bag and that it could affect your party's turnout. Now it not only appears you're capable of doing that (beautifully might I add) but at the same time totally distancing yourselves from Independents as well...
... talk about the perfect disaster.

I can never remember... Is this the part where the stringed quartet starts to play?

October 12, 2012 at 01:36 | Registered Commenterskinnydipinacid

CNN poll: Ryan won, 48% to 44%. Likeability, Ryan 53%, Biden 43%. More in touch with real people's issues, Ryan 51%, Biden 44%.

My own take: Ryan won on manners, opposing a rude, obnoxious, and emotionally out of control geezer.

October 12, 2012 at 04:56 | Unregistered CommenterRedBeard

Maybe I'm being too rough on old Joe-Joe. Perhaps he had no choice. Sometimes senility presents itself through uncontrolled outbursts of petulance, incivility, and anger.

October 12, 2012 at 05:18 | Unregistered CommenterRedBeard

Both sides of the political isle could agree although Joe Biden was an idiot he was a somewhat likeable idiot. After last night that's gone and he's a now just a rude, mean and ever more clueless idiot that should never be close to the nuclear football. Veep debates shouldn't impact Presidential races but this one will. Independents and women don't care for a Veep who laughs & sneers about 2000 dead in Afghanistan and Obama's foreign policy disaster that gets Americans murdered in Libya. Also, Republicans according to Biden "want to give tax breaks of 800 million-billion to the rich." Man my calc would go that high Joe. What f**king idiot but symptomatic of demwits

"Buffon"

'The Joker"

"Crazy Uncle"

The accolades just keep pouring in for Joe. His debate has united both democrats and republicans for how bad it was. Biden’s debate performance was the equivalent of an Occupier crapping on a cop car. Yeah, it was that bad.

October 12, 2012 at 06:49 | Unregistered CommenterThomas Miller

The best question to ask of lefties: Do you really like having this irrational raving gasbag being one heartbeat away from the nuclear football? The private answer, for the majority of even the most ardent lefties, presuming we're asking the sentient ones, has to be no. They will feel a touch of worry as they vote for Obama/Biden.

October 12, 2012 at 07:11 | Unregistered CommenterRedBeard

My most objective analyses: :-)

Biden has great entertainment value and a great set of teeth that flash when he breaks out in that very big smile (much like his boss.) The camera loves him and he fills the screen every time it is on him. He also has a big voice that he uses to great effect from many years of practiced demagoguery. Ryan, not so much on any of these attributes. Biden really sounds like he knows what he is talking about even when he is saying nothing. Which is most of the time. Folks who have no clue what is "actually" going on in the world would be easily susceptible to all of this. However, Biden went too far. The persistent laughter, throwing up his hands and peering at the sky, rolling his eyes and talking over Ryan when it was Ryan's turn to speak, made him appear rude and out of control much of the time.

If this debate ultimately ends up favoring anyone it will be......wait for it....... Ryan (:-)). Biden really blew it on Benghazi and his comeback on the charges of the United Nations and Russia having dictated our policy in Syria was limp and ineffectual. And for good reason. Ryan was more than impressive on foreign policy, though he stumbled a bit on the Afghanistan withdrawal - I would liked to have heard him be more forceful about conditions for withdrawal but he hedged for political reasons.

Skwawk, we are still waiting for a "rational" answer to the charge that obama is cutting 716 billion from medicare to pay for obamacare. It seems the POTUS and VP need your input. Hmmmm, I didn't know we have almost a trillion dollars in savings laying around out there.

Oh and the 47 percent line used by biden several times including in his closing statement seemed to hang in the air for about 5 seconds and then die. I believe this is mostly dead meat for the democrats at this point in time. It will be interesting to see if "the one" brings it up in his next debate. I'm betting he will. Things are getting desparate for the dems - according to the polls - and they will be kicking at the groin at every opportunity from here on in to November 2nd.

Thanx for the clip RB. That pretty well sums it up. However, as you know, it was actually worse than that clip depicts. They left much on the cutting room floor.

October 12, 2012 at 10:36 | Registered CommenterTijuana

I dunno what debate you chumps watched. Serious beatdown.
Charles Pierce’s line is too good not to steal:

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Paul Ryan? Lipstick.

Y’know, YMMV—it probably depends on whether you can still recognize reality or are determined to create your own—but I do think the Biden/Ryan smackdown went far, far worse for the wingers than they know, maybe far worse than even the pundits (who need a horse race) are acknowledging. Joe cut his legs off. This was a real Godzilla v. Bambi moment. And, yeah, Joe enjoyed himself providing it, cheerfully and mockingly calling out ZEGS on his ridiculously earnest presentation of one lie, evasion, falsehood, non-sequitur, oily idiocy and head-scratchingly pointless rambling anecdote after another like a bluffing blustering fourteen-year-old at a science fair who didn’t do the work.

Doubt that? As someone else suggested, ask Unka Karl Rove if he’d pay to re-air that whole VP debate thing nationwide the evening of November 5. In fact, I’ll take any bet you’ve got right now that if any clip from this debate winds up in a campaign commercial, it ain’t no Romney-Ryan ad. Bill Maher tweeted that he felt obligated to call 911 to report an old man beating up a child. That’s what I saw, too

October 12, 2012 at 11:05 | Registered CommenterWinston

Some pundits—maybe even a couple lo-info swing voters—are going to be (or feign being) put off by Biden’s condescension and theatrics. Reality, though? We’ve only a limited number of techniques to deal effectively with pathological liars, with expressing incredulity, scorn and ridicule as you call them out being chief among them. Your task is putting a three-card-monte con artist out of business? Well, then. Courtesy, civility, and respect are only weaknesses the lying crooks will abuse and exploit. Joe was as courteous and civil as he needed to be, cheerful and affable even, but he was under no obligation to feign respect for someone who spews the kind of preposterous lies and nonsense Ryan spews.

Oh, btw? Whichever moron sent Zombie-Eyed Granny Starver into battle with a heartstring-pulling anecdote in his vest pocket about Clueless Plutocrat’s generosity (their college costs=his pocket change) to a family who underwent a tragic car accident in a debate with Joe fucking Biden? Needs to be fired and never again work in politics above the taking of coffee orders.

ZEGS was more lost in Afghanistan than the Russian army. (h/t Pierce). He wants to privatize Social Security. He’d end Medicare as a defined benefit program. He won’t rule out ending the mortgage interest deduction for under-$100k households to pay for colossal tax cuts he keeps insisting gonna be free, free, free: “Eat cake, lose weight!” Sure, Wingnutz™ love him—he’s an extremist even by Republican Party standards which is saying something. Normal people, not so much.

Joe was devastating. He called out this childish clown/clownish child, the choice of whom can only reflect poorly on Lying Assweasel’s judgment. Then he took Mrs. Ryan home with him.
“Lipstick.” Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Joe (the pontificater) biden pontificating on Benghazi:

Too bad for Joe the Intelligence Community is sick of this lying sack of shit and his boss and made the MSM aware that they have drone video footage of the consulate attack. Joe Biden went home and had a scotch and a cigarette. Paul Ryan's mom put his "debate participation" certificate on the refrigerator.

But hey, don't take my word for it. Let's see how much loud protracted Nooshnutz whining we have to endure over Joe's "tone" (more than death itself, wingnutz hate being laughed at) and the "biased moderator." Better yet: in whose ads those lovely debate moments wind up appearing.

Oh, skinny, skinny, skinny, in your despair you’ve stopped making any sense at all. Joe Biden sure didn’t need to win my vote. Nor that of my fellow far leftists, Stalinists, Trotskyites and Gaia- and Satan-worshippers.

[Biden] certainly didn't come off as presidential.

He’s not running for President. Though most Americans would feel far safer if he had to be sworn in than they would with Lying Assweasel, Jr., Boy Nitwit.

October 12, 2012 at 13:48 | Registered CommenterTijuana

Like I said... Ryan didn't seem to "win" the debate as much as Biden seemed to "lose" the debate. He did it to himself. His attitude, snark, hysterics and smugness may have been what the left wanted to hear after seeing Obama fall flat on his face last week. You'd probably call that a win for Obama, or at best a tie. Have you brought yourself to admit Obama lost last week?

Ryan could have (and should have) really nailed Biden's ass a few times. He was saved by the "moderator" when the smackdown over Benghazi was starting to boil over... he just wasn't saved soon enough. Still managed to put his foot in his mouth, leaving the White House yet again to play damage control over the Libya scandal. He apparently even changed his vote on the wars in the middle east... few years too late, but hey... he'd vote against it today if he could. Netanyahu... he's met with him a dozen times.... I can prove it... 1, 2, 12... see! A dozen times.

Yes Winston, you do live in a parallel universe when believing it was an smackdown of epic proportions. In the end I don't think Biden cost his party votes any more than Obama had already lost last week. Ryan only needed to hold his own and give a good first impression to Americans that have never heard him before and he did that. I'd call it a tie if I didn't believe Ryan was more likely to appeal to independents and undecided voters... which he probably won over more of them based on Biden's attitude and demeanor.

The VP debate is now over and I think last night's debate helped Romney more than it helped Obama. Joe Biden, who's smiling teeth was enough to give people a headache and possible epileptic seizures and should come with a warning, made himself a perfect example of what makes up the modern day liberal party. I don't think he lost Obama any footing though, just as I don't think Ryan won over much ground... I think the momentum stays the same, which at this time seems to still favor Romney.

It's now up to Obama / Romney to win / lose this thing. VP's had little effect on the race. Some in the media (the non-partisans) are saying Ryan won barely, some are saying Biden nudged him a hair... but ass-kicking either way is just plain silly and is an instant giveaway of one's own partisan nature. Yes, you do live in a parallel universe Winston, that much we've known for quite some time. My world seems pretty unanimous in the idea it was a draw or slight win for either side. Your world claims it was all out murder by Biden. It's absurd... but then again, you're the kind of guy Biden sells too most sucessfully.

For the casual or every two/four political animal tuning in last night Biden did us conservatives a huge favor. We see Biden's rude behavior daily. From the vulgar posts and T.V. segments calling us all liars, racist, homophobes and granny killers. The bile is delivered nightly on MSNBC and occasionally on CNN. What Biden did last night for probably 50-60 million Americans is to see is bring that thug behavior out in the open. Women & independents don't want a rude blowhard and Biden served up a huge plate of that last night. I'm sure to the left it’s perfect behavior to interrupt, roll the eyes (ALGORE style), smirk and be their condescending selves. I do laugh at all the tough guy leftist references to "beat downs" and "smack downs" that Biden verbally delivered in their eyes. These are the same little enfeminate weasels and ball busters on MSNBC who couldn't beat back a butterfly on their shoulder without taking an eight count. But their all MMA fighters behind the computer screen.

Here is the link below that a drone caught the Benghazi consulate attack in real-time. It's my understanding these drones encrypt these surveillance videos and uplink them to a Mil-SAT for the NSA to distribute. So more than likely in real time the government saw or was aware of this attack.

Questions for Obama Tuesday night:

1). Did he see this video?
2). When did he see this video?
3). Other than himself, who else saw this video?

Future Question for the CIA/NSA Officials:

1). Who saw this video according to their records?
2). When did they distribute it?
3). Was the WH excuse that the consulate attack was due to a video still publicly announced after they or their surrogates saw this drone surveillance video.?

This WH is in deep SHIT.

No matter what side you took, last night's debate was very substantive. All the attempted diversion and distraction to focus on Joe's demenaor and the very obvious pleasure he took in cleaning Eddie Haskell's clock is further proof that on substance the Wingnutz know they lost, and lost badly. This will become evident over the next week as clips from that debate find their way into Democratic ticket commercials, not GOP ones.

This is the difference between people who have a healthy respect for reality and people who think they can create their own reality.

I'm enjoying watching Pinocchio Carney spin for Obama, claiming in some bizarre way that Biden's "we" (as in "we" didn't know Benghazi needed any help) didn't really mean "the administration." What? Come again?

But everything is fine. Nothing to see here. Laugh about the deaths and chaos, as Biden did last night.

"Last night’s CNN Instapoll was good for Paul Ryan, not so much because he won it 48–44 — the margin of error could well wipe that out — but because he did so much better than Joe Biden in other areas. When asked who was more likeable, 53 percent of respondents chose Ryan and 43 percent went for Biden. Likewise, when asked who was more in touch with the problems of people like them, 51 percent swung for Ryan, while 44 percent selected Biden."

While the Occupy Wall Street crowd loved Biden's thug behavior; everybody else, not so much. Whether it's CNN, RCP or WashPo this is another unmitigated disaster for Barry and Chompers. The polls for Obama are dropping like a rock. People see him finally for an incompetent boob who without his teleprompter can barely put two sentences together without a protracted 'Ummmmm.' Are you suggesting, Skinny, that Joe-Joe was less than honest in multiple ways? I'm puzzled. I mean, Winnie and like-minded Obamatons say that Biden won big. Surely they wouldn't be accepting that myth if Joe-Joe lied his way through the debate. Would they?

Ass-kicking is usually best when aimed at an opponent, and not at one's own team. The Obama cabal seems to be perfecting the Circular Ass Kicking Technique. Can't wait for Hillary (she now of the under-the-bus crowd) to join in and starts kicking Obama/Biden asses herself. This could get very interesting.

Top 10 Lies Spewed by "the Grin with a Body Behind it" (so true) at the VP Debate:

- "With all due respect, that’s a bunch of malarkey....not a single thing he said is accurate." (when actually every point Ryan made during the statement leading up to that rebuttal was indeed factual)
- "The president has met with Bibi [Netanyahu] a dozen times....This is a bunch of stuff." (counting and numbers don't seem to be this administration's "thing"... 3 letter words, 3 proud words, a dozen, etc.)
- "Just let the taxes expire like they’re supposed to on those millionaires."
(250,000 = a million... apparently)
- "You know, I heard that death panel argument from Sarah Palin. It seems that every vice presidential debate, I hear this kind of stuff about panels." (Palin mentioned death panels before a healthcare bill was even submitted? What a clairvoyant candidate she must have been. That or he's just such an ass he wanted to rip Palin and tie Ryan to her later statement despite Ryan never saying the words "death panels"... Joe Biden was actually the one who equated the cost-controlling board to that of death panels.
Funny stuff.)
- "The congressman here cut embassy security in his budget by $300 million below what we asked for."(I'm still pissed Ryan didn't destroy him over this one, which was applying almost a 20% cut to non-defense discretionary spending, not embassy security... nor does does it specify where, what or who the cuts will affect. This was an obvious dodge and cover for the Obama administration, who were the ones that proposed cuts to “Embassy Security, Construction, and Maintenance.” It was a blatant, desperate lie Ryan should have destroyed him over.)
- "No, they are not four years closer to a nuclear weapon." (Did you know there are actually people who believe this insanity)
- "No religious institution, Catholic or otherwise...has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact." (In Winston's parallel universe, Biden saying "that's a fact" means it's a fact... and it kicks as... so much unbelievable ass... it'll kick you all the way back to the great depression era... it'll kick you clear back to the crusades)
- "It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card...I was there. I voted against him." (no he didn't... he voted for both wars... not to bright, but what an imagination that guy has)
- "What we did is we saved $716 billion and put it back -- applied it to Medicare." (again, they can't help but lie on this over and over again because they need to paint themselves as the Medicare warriors)
- "Well, we weren't told they wanted more security again." (the pinnacle of the lies... this one actually makes you wonder if this administration is paying attention at all to what's going on in Washington or just focusing on nothing but their campaign)

When Andrea Mitchell is calling Biden a liar... you know the lies are bad.

This blazingly ignorant, painstakingly idiotic, mother of all lies however did NOT make the top 10 since it happened the day AFTER the VP debate... but still worth mentioning...

Joe Biden: "“Under Law Planned Parenthood Can’t Perform Abortions”"
Either he's incredibly stupid or he thinks every American but him is.
(also known as "kicking ass" in some parallel universes)
