Send Obama Over There
... apparently he still thinks negotiations are possilbe.
He honestly believes that we need to "change our policy to deal aggressively with the threat posed by the Iranian regime". Well, that's all fine and good Senator, but change our policy to what? More liberal, or should we go back the other direction and let more Conservative leaders take the reigns for a while. So far the European Union, the UN and Islamic-leaning appeasers that represent the Democratic Party aren't quite getting the message through the thick skulls setting atop some tiny little bodies.
Of course our Congress is all over this. They're in meetings trying to figure out what 'warm and fuzzy' approach we should take to make these idiots understand that we really don't want to obliterate them... unless they force our hand. Their problem is that they just can't figure out a way to strike some fear into these people. (eeeeeek)
How do you talk sense into people who are being led by nutcases making statements like "we want to tell the world that those who conduct their foreign policy by using the language of threat against Iran have to know that our finger is always on the trigger and we have hundreds and even thousands of missiles ready to be fired against predetermined targets," which was worded by General Hossein Salami, commander of the Revolutionary Guard ground forces, on state TV.
Let's ignore the fact for a moment that Isreal is now within firing range of these long-range missiles and being threatened with complete annihilation every week by Shorty McAhmadinejad, but focus more on whose troops are in between Iran and Isreal... ours... as well as our allies. All would be affected by these missles... all our within range... and the Iranian leaders' itchy fingers are "always on the trigger."
That's right Obama, I'm sure you have a better idea. Let's all just sit in a circle and hope for change, because the tried and true more liberal approach clearly has worked wonders so far. Ask the people within firing range whether or not negotiations will work. Even the most liberal of Israelis would argue with you on this one.

We've heard bluster like this from various dictators, of varying strength, for 50+ years. Remember how Kim Jong Il was going to rain death on all of us? How about the Khruschev-era rhetoric? The "paper tiger" screeds of the Maoist era of the PRC?
The key question is whether we believe that the leaders of Iran are suicidal. For all their rhetoric, these are not stupid people. They know that, should they cross the line, even our currently-stressed military is more than capable of decimating their cities and basically laying waste to their country. Given the current state of the Iranian air force, such would almost be an intramural exercise for the USAF.
Even our current leaders (notably the Secretary of Defense) are saying that it's time to find "avenues of approach" to talk with Iran.
Let's talk. Let's evaluate.
C-c-c-can't we all just get along?
Hmmm...it seems to be working with North Korea, yes? After all, we just removed them from our "state sponsors of terrorism" list...
But it can't be working with N. Korea, Wes, because Bush is still in charge of foreign policy, and we all know that nothing he does is right. Obama just told us so.
I think they want a war Wes, and they know we don't want to go to war against their people who are obviously stuck in the middle. Stuck between I-RAQ (wocka wocka) and a hard place. They know we're torn on what to do, they know that military action by us would be looked down on by other certain countries, and that the U.S. internal political nonsense will surely ensue. They're testing us like they're testing their missiles... while proving at the same time there is no negotiating with them. Even the UN has thrown their hands up saying Iran has no intentions of cutting back their nuclear goals. What can we do?
They clearly feel the heat of our military breathing right next door...
are they really stupid enough to go kick the bear while he's resting?
Well, one thing is for sure. The Israelis aren't sitting around trying to figure out what just happened, as Obama says he thinks we need to do. They also aren't sitting around trying to come up with new ways of talking to the Iranian nutbags, as Obama also just said we need to do. The Israelis see a missile capable of reaching their country, and astoundingly (by Obama standards of obtuseness) they will not just wait for one to land.
<giggling> Even if/when they do land Red, our Democrats are the type of people still willng to negotiate with the enemy. I've given up on talking sense into them... but is there still hope of talking sense into Iran </giggling>
Nice duck-n-dodge, but it's getting a bit old.
Obama, think of all that global warming all those missiles caused.
That'll get action, Skinny.
Oh, and add this, ala The New York Times protocol: IRAN FIRES MISSILES; WOMEN AND MINORITIES HARDEST HIT.
Maybe it would be reasonable now to quit “joking” about dead Iranians.
That's just painful to read. He thought that was FUNNY?
He was crossing party lines with that one wes...
trying to get a chuckle out of all those Dems who've helped pass smoking bans.
Sen. McCain, see what good "crossing party lines" does when you're a Republican?
All seriousness aside...
at least Iran will know who they're pissing with if he gets elected.
Would they dare try to pull this shit if McCain was the one with his finger on the trigger?
Yet another reason why our enemies want Urkel to win in 2008.
Oooh... "did I do that?"
or per his request, I'll say it in Spanish
(the language, in his opinion, we should all learn)
"Ay... ¿Hice yo eso? "
pop quiz:
How many languages does Obama speak?
Wait.... I think Obama is confused. Is it Spanish or French we're supposed to learn? From his oh-so-clever aren't-Americans-dumb speech, it's difficult to tell.
yeah... shit... you're right....
Oooh la la... Ai-t-je fait cela?
I'm just ever-so-embarrassed that my Urdu is rusty, and I can barely say hello in Gaelic. Damned ugly American, that's what I am.
I think either the U.S. or Israel (or both) will take military action against Iran before the end of the summer.
THE OBAMA'S
One says Americans should be embarassed that we only speak one language and the other has never been proud of being American until now. And these two want to be America's first couple? It's so sick it's almost funny.
We're the only country stopping Israel from blowing Iran to smithereens...
it'll be awfully hard to convince them otherwise after this action.
I think that every American graduating high school should speak and write at least two languages, one of which must be English.
Me? I speak English, Spanish, and enough French/German to make small talk and ask where the beer and (later) the bathroom might be. If you let me count swearing, add another two or three languages to that list. (grin)
One would think that business conservatives would be all over this, in the good sense; the business world is SCREAMING for multilinguals, and Americans are losing out because we're too short-sighted to see the value in language skills.
Obama proves again when he's off the telepromter his handlers must cringe. It's one thing to desire to be multi-lingual for business opportunites or personal enjoyment but to tell your audience "your embarassed that Americans only speak English." That's going to leave a mark.
The more I watch Obama, he reminds of a black Ted Baxter from the old Mary Tyler Moore shows. Slick in front of the camera as long as he has a telepromter or someone wispering into his ear piece. Once he's off the training wheels of support, he's a bit a verbal klutz who may end making George Bush look good.
that's actually the new Obama plan to combat global warming...
... take off the training wheels so you can get better mileage
"I'm just ever-so-embarrassed that my Urdu is rusty, and I can barely say hello in Gaelic. Damned ugly American, that's what I am. "
Red... you're embarrassing the Obamas
I don't think it's wise to chide the electorate when you're seeking votes. Obama's remarks regarding Americans and foreign languages came off as insulting and it will cost him.
Insulting, arrogant, condescending, and elitist, just like his clingy religious gun owner rant. The man just can't help himself. I do hope and pray that it costs him.
This latest nonsense from Obama warrants a new blog post. I'm off to rant a bit.
