The Face of Desperation
"To say that Barack Obama wants to "lose" in Iraq is completely beyond acceptable standards of political discourse. For Senator McCain to impugn the loyalty and patriotism of a sitting United States Senator while he is overseas to gain some short-term political leverage is beneath the dignity of the office which he holds. This is an act of political desperation and moral cowardice. John McCain should be ashamed of himself and immediately apologize."

pull out = lose
what's beyond acceptable is the left's persistance to mask what it really is.
he simply called them on it... so good for John McCain.
Liberals would rather lose the war and teach the U.S. a lesson than win. If we are to succumb to an Obama administration, I just hope he leaves enough money in the defense budget for the helicopters to get people off the embassy roof in Baghdad.
it's true thomas, and they seem to view the U.S. as the enemy.
hey... liberals... you'll be more than welcomed in Iran... buh-bye!
"pull out = lose"
I guess the corollary to that is "stay = win." Isn't that pretty much the policy you support?
we stayed in Germany didn't we?
Is this man displaying the dignity we require in a Chief Executive?
Is this guy displaying the thoughts of today's Democratic Party?
Skinny, new NBC/WSJ poll out today: Sixty per cent say that dog don’t hunt no moe.
Heck, the sell-by date on your punchline expired about mid-2004, dinnit?
and at this rate...
60% may indeed be dumb enough to vote for "Change"...
or is it "Ready for Judgement" now... or "Hope We Can't Believe"
either way what's your point?
(i tell you what...
you liberals and all your inane polls.)
This isn't a popularity contest,
it's a common sense fact that giving a date to our enemy emboldens them...
and over time leads to a big 'W' in their win/loss column...
it's not a good idea to pull your starters at the end until you know the game is won
(how quickly you forget those words "mission accomplished"... shame on you >;o)
and if only 30% of the people in the world realize that...
i guess that explains why things seem so f#$%ed up to me.
but since we're on the topic of that poll:
Being a good commander-in-chief?
John McCain 53%
Barack Obama 25%
Being knowledgeable and experienced enough to handle the presidency?
John McCain 53%
Barack Obama 19%
As you think about the presidential race and the direction in which the next president will take the country, who do you think would be the riskier choice for president–John McCain or Barack Obama?
Barack Obama 55%
John McCain 35%
You should know I really start grinding my teeth when people try to draw lessons for international geopolitics from athletic contests.
ha ha.... i'll certainly remember that in the future.
(GGOOOOooooooaoaaaaaalllll!!!!)
