"Your Act is, You Have No Act"
Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 13:34My sense is that Tom Cronin has pretty well got down John McCain’s shtick of supposedly not having a shtick, as well as how the national press continues to shrug off McCain’s painfully obvious panderings and inconsistencies because they won’t press him on his twin strategems of either playing dumb and saying “I’ll get back to you on that complicated subject” or blowing his stack in bully-boy pushback mode. (”How dare you say that to a former POW, something I really don’t like to talk about !”)
I’m very curious as to whether McCain can continue working this fairly transparent routine all the way till Election Day, or whether someone—maybe even a private citizen or some journalist quite a bit lower down the food chain, or maybe a European reporter less enamored of him than the US press—will call him on it and McCain will then make an ugly mess of it. I’m guessing probably the former.
For all McCain's vaunted press availability, this has to be making his staff nervous.

The left gets so angry that McCain gets angry. I guess they conveniently forgotten Clinton's "purple bulging rage" or Hillary throwing lamps against the wall.
Stick with this issue, it's bound to be a winner in one of these electon cycles.
