Dirty Politics - Accusing Obama of Being Terrorist-Connected

This isn't the sort of thing that should be happening, a politician suggesting Obama's possible terrorist ties.  Dirty pool.

Damn those McCain 527s and those Repub................... wait........ what?  The accuser is a top Democrat party exec?

Ok, then never mind.  This never happened.  Nothing to see here.  Return to your homes.

In the same vein is this little bit of intra-party discord, which makes the one above pale by comparison.

Trouble in paradise?

But Bill, what about Unity? Hmmmmm....what was your wife really whispering in Obama's ear in that photo? The mind boggles.

(laugh) So, an state-level executive committeman from Tennessee is a "top Democratic Party exec?" Reaching a bit, aren't we?

Now, your followup about Bill Clinton is closer to the mark, but the Clintons have always been more about themselves than their party.

How are things shaping up for McCain on this part of the game? Huckabee seems to be helping out, and I've seen Giuliani chime in once or twice, but the rest of the GOP field seems pretty silent; are they doing much on his behalf? (That's an honest question; we don't see much of any of them in Kentucky.)

In a bit of political jujitsu, Hobbs has recanted thusly:

“My statement that Senator Obama ‘may be terrorist-connected’ was incorrect and I apologize for making it,” former state Rep. Fred Hobbs said in a letter to fellow Democratic Executive Committee members.

Mr. Hobbs, a former Eagleville mayor, said his comments “did reflect questions I had after what I had seen reported on Fox News, but I should have taken some time to check the accuracy of what I saw on television before speaking publicly.”

Taking the media a face value is a big mistake for anyone.

Add in ultra-leftie Ralph Nader, who is still bashing away at Obama for acting white. The entertainment provided by humorless zealots like Nader is just too good to pass up.

Heh heh heh...yeah, Nader's in "whatever it takes for me to get media coverage" mode, I think.

If I was a Democrat:

"I'll take a 50 lb bag of sand, a shovel, and anything else one would need for burrying his head."
