It Must Be the Year

for excruciatingly embarrasing GOP political ads.

I know if I were a Republican I certainly wouldn't be going around these days admitting it to anyone but my closest friends.

Oh I don't know, Winston. I work in a predominately liberal arena and often take perverse pleasure in letting my political leanings be known.

Yeah Rosie,

It could have been worse, like the Moveon.org ad that has a mom telling John McCain "you can't have my baby Alex in 18 years" becuase I'll still be breast feeding him and tucking him in at night. We liberal Moms proudly raise wimps.

That ad got pulled fast due to every dimwit male over 18 having to defend himself from the momma's boy accusation. Keep em' coming moveon.org. Maybe another one attacking Petraeus, the military or wounded soldiers. Friggin idiots. LOL.

I have a hat like Cornyn's. He must be a good guy.

Edited to wonder if he has the cattle to go with the hat. We need to find out if he's a poser.

From Cornyn's website biography:

As Texas Attorney General from 1999-2002, John Cornyn directed many initiatives vital to the interests of Texas families. Cornyn served for six years as a District Court Judge in San Antonio before being elected to the Texas Supreme Court in 1990, where he served for seven years.

John Cornyn was born in Houston on February 2, 1952 and was raised in San Antonio. He is the son of John and Gale Cornyn, both native Texans. His father, a B-17 pilot in World War II, served for 31 years in the U.S. Air Force and, later, taught at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. A graduate of Trinity University and St. Mary’s School of Law, both in San Antonio, John Cornyn also earned a Masters of Law from the University of Virginia Law School in 1995. He was named the St. Mary’s Distinguished Law School Graduate in 1994 and a Trinity University Distinguished Alumnus in 2001.

There seems to be one chunk of time (about 7 years) left undescribed; other than that, he's been a lawyer, a district judge, an (elected) TX Supreme Court judge, the (elected) TX AG, and a first-term Senator since 2002.

I'm calling poser. (laugh)
