'Sup Wit Dis?
When CNN asked Barack Obama’s communications director Robert Gibbs to comment on President Bush’s “appeasement” statement at the Knesset, Gibbs pointed out Bush’s own defense secretary is himself speaking about negotiations and engagement with Iran. However, CNN edited that part of Gibb’s statement it out after its first broadcast. You can hear Gibb’s statement in its entirety, then with the excised portion removed.

I love how CNN is getting blasted now because they're not left enough, like all along they've had a right wing agenda... all of the sudden CNN is the new Fox News! I guess the libs are finally coming to the conclusion that it is indeed the 'Clinton News Network', and that they're not in the tank for Obama like they'd hoped. Relax libs... you still have (P)MSNBC.
C'mon, skinny, you gotta admit that it's pretty bad to edit out the one point that totally and completely eviscerates the "talking to our enemies" rhetoric. They just want to keep the controversy going, because that's what gets eyeballs on their programming.
Sheesh.
key point being overlooked is "the engagement with Iran"...
... an distinct and often overlooked possibility.
With Bush in office, it's safe to say there won't be much "negotiating" with them. My own personal idea of a negotiationary tactic would be a circling group of US Navy Super Hornets with the crosshairs pointed right at Tehran. I don't think we'll need to fire, negotiations should be complete before that happens, but we can leave that totally up to them by putting their fate in their own hands.
yeah... i know.... heartless... sheesh!
ha ha...
why does my work computer keep defaulting to 'noneoftheabove'?
ha ha ha... i got enough problems with people regarding false id's.

Actually, this ain't a matter of slant.
Dropping, editing out, a critical piece of a quote, the part that actually makes the speaker's point most effectively and dramatically, is just very poor journalistic practice.
Wouldn't you agree?
oh Red,
I'm sure they know...
