Whaaaaa . . . . . ?

Just trying out the new wheels here.

I'm not sure that representing "The [sic] View From the Left" isn't going to be far too crushing a responsibility--I can't purport to speak for anyone but myself. When my mind is open and changeable, not even that.

Oh, sorry. It's A View, not the View . . . much better . . . .

Winston,

The section titles were somewhat arbitrary. If you have another name in mind, I'll be happy to change it. We're still setting up and the site is still in flux, so please feel free to make suggestions. I'm open to ideas.

Winston,

Another thing, you and Redbeard are not limited to posting threads in your respective sections. I gave both of you the ability to start new threads anywhere, including the front page.

The front page can be on any topic. My original idea was that more partisan articles would go in the Left/Right sections and generally non-partisan articles would be on the front page. A better approach might be to remove the Left/Right sections and post everything on the front page.

Give me some feedback :)

Finally, if either you or Redbeard would rather have sections based on a completely different area of interest, let me know, and I'll add the section for you.

One last thing: I set up the Experimental section so that you guys can create a thread to see what it looks like without regular users seeing it. This allows you to experiment with how you format the text or layout.
