Despite Opposite Claim, Obama People Meeting With Hamas

Despite Obama's public assurance that he wouldn't meet with Hamas until they renounce terrorism, his people have apparently been involved in ongoing talks with the terrorist organization for some time now.

According to Dr. Ahmad Yousef, advisor to Hamas head man:

"We were in contact with a number of Obama’s aides through the Internet, and later met with some of them in Gaza, but they advised us not to reveal this information as it may influence the elections or become manipulated by McCain’s campaign."

Yousef also claimed he personally had friendly relations with some of Obama’s advisers and that “Haniyeh [thug-in-chief of Hamas] will draft a congratulatory letter to Obama for his victory.”

So, let me get this straight - they're lying, evil people, but we're supposed to take this particular statement (published in a hardline newspaper) at face value? There was the one Obama adviser who had met with Hamas in the course of his work with an NGO--not as part of the campaign by any means--but that person resigned back in May.

Despite my instincts, I'm going to have to agree with Wes on this one. I'll wait until there is some kind of confirmation on this side of the ocean before I add it to the list of all the reasons Barack Obama is the worst thing to happen to the United States.
