Yes We Can (Have a Cult of Personality)

This needs to be filed in the Good Grief cabinet, in the Rolling Eyes folder.

Or we could all just join in, grab a slice or two of Obama Cake, and help plan for the new national holiday honoring the life-long accomplishments of The One.

It would be nice to add that this is unbelievable, but given the degree of deification Obama has received, and the growing cult of personality surrounding him, there is no longer anything surprising about this sort of idiocy.

You must love The One. It is not enough to obey him. You must love him.

Wow, that's breathtakingly silly.

I bet the Obama Cake is really just a angel food cake.

Why have a national holiday? You won't be required work under the Obama Administration, or pay your mortgage or put gas in your car or think, for that matter.

Under President Obama, EVERY day is a national holiday!

The "community organizer" of this nuttiness has been told by the owner of the McDonald's that he does not have permission to use that piece of private property for his wacky plans, yet he intends to go right ahead. Well, I'm sure this is just a part of spreading the wealth of McDonald's around.

And this struck me as well: "Hilary Shelton, the national vice president of advocacy, said Obama's election was of tremendous significance for 'a community that was once enslaved.'" Will Ms. Shelton kindly give us the names of those in her community who are former slaves?

Good grief. Insanity.

I tend to agree with you, Redbeard;consider this quote from the guy "known for quixotic crusades:"

"I got Jesus, I got the Internet, and now I got Nov. 4, 2008," he said.
Yikes. That's a wee bit much.

I have a black man in my ancestry. I can't WAIT for reparations and everything that comes with them!!!
