Was Obama a Member of Socialist New Party?
Some evidence indicates that Obama was a member of the avowed socialist group known as The New Party.
This will not matter, of course, to either the dogmatic leftists who support Obama, nor to the ignorant Obamatons who haven't a clue why they support the man.
It might matter to the remaining undecideds. And it certainly matters to anyone who cares about stopping this country's slide into the socialist muck.

Wow - it's another guilt-by-decade-old-association attack! What a surprise...not.
If you really want to play this game, I'll see your "fringe New Party" and raise you a G.Gordon Liddy.
So, Wes, shall we put you down as one of the dogmatic leftists who simply don't mind at all what Obama wants to do to this country? Since you're not an ignorant sort of person, that seems the only choice.
Alas, if only the main stream media wasn't in the tank for Barry O, we would hear the awful truth. I've yet to hear them talk about the Woods Fund.
The Woods Fund? You mean the group whose current board members include not only William Ayers, but also executives with BP and UBS and a seminary president? Wait a minute - does that mean that BP and UBS "pal around with terrorists," too?
You suggest that there's something significant about the Woods Fund and Obama's participation on its board - what is it?
There’s considerable evidence—it's undisputed, actually—that John McCain served on the advisory board to the U.S. chapter of an international group linked to Central American ultra-right-wing death squads. McCain's service on the board of the U.S. Council for World Freedom implicates him in the group’s often illegal activities, which included attempting to overthrow the Nicaraguan government, the Iran-Contra abuses, and violating Internal Revenue Service regulations. The Council was a haven for extremists, Nazi collaborators, racists and anti-Semites.
This will not matter, of course, to either the dogmatic rightists who support McCain, nor to the ignorant McCainiacs who haven't a clue why they support the man.
It might matter to the remaining undecideds. And it certainly matters to anyone who cares about stopping this country's slide into complete wackazoid wingnuttery.
There’s considerable evidence Sarah Palin and her husband Todd were closely involved with, if not members of, a group that sought a vote on their state seceding from the Union. The founder of the Alaska Independent Party—a haven for extremists and nutjobs—preached armed insurrection against the US and got Iran to sponsor him in delivering his 1993 anti-American harangue in the United Nations. (Yes, that Iran.)
This will not matter, of course, to either the dogmatic rightists who support Palin, nor to the ignorant Palinoids who haven't a clue why they support the woman.
It might matter to the remaining undecideds. And it certainly matters to anyone who cares about stopping this country's slide into complete wackazoid wingnuttery.
Redbeard, you can put me down as someone who's decided that we can't take another 4-8 years of the policies we've had from the Republicans. I'm reasonably certain that both our economic situation and the typical minority-obstruction from House/Senate Republicans will put the kibosh on anything truly radical that might show up, so we'll wind up with a 'fair-to-middling' swing to the left.
Most of all, I see an Obama Presidency as a step back from the Executive arrogance and, yes, abuses of power I've seen from the Republicans over the last eight years. Moreover, I don't believe that he'll compromise our national security; I do , however, think that we'll see something more rational from Obama on that score than "dead or alive," "gates of Hell" and "bomb, bomb Iran."
In short, I don't like all of his ideas by any means, but I do see him as the better choice on those issues that matter most to me.
My choice is hardly "dogmatic."
My local hate rightwing radio is already talking enthusiastically about trying to cripple an Obama Administration and the need to get impeachment hearings going as soon as humanly possible.
Will someone tell me just what the hell is wrong with these people? There's a mental problem, isn't there?
Impeachment only for cause. Anything else is just hyperbole, of course.
But cripple him politically, absolutely, positively the first priority, in order to stave off, or just reduce the speed of, Obama's desired slide to the ultra left.
Obama and socialism, that's a career enhancement for liberals making one worthy of the "Victims & Whiners" hall of fame.
What is "ultra left" about Obama's policies? Please don't respond with the usual "are you blind?" nonsense. What specific policies do you view as "ultra left?"
Oh, brother.
Well, come on, RB...one might say that nationalizing businesses is "ultra left," but the current Administration just did that with AIG.
One might say that arbitrary debt forgiveness is "ultra left," but McCain wants to do that with his buy-your-mortgage plan.
See what I mean?
Wes;
abortion in the 3rd trimester is ultra left. Aborting a baby even after it survivies the abortion is ultra left.
You repubs are sick and demented. Borderline commies.
Well, that comment just really hit the bullseye on the WTF target.
